“A-Level results day is always nerve-wracking, for our students, parents and the school. I’m thrilled this year to see so many students achieving A* or A grades and places at some of the UK’s top universities. Our ethos that all girls are taught as individuals and encouraged to follow their own path is so true today, as we see students taking up so many interesting and diverse courses. I’m beyond proud of the Class of 2026, and can’t wait to see what they achieve in the future.”

The success of our GCSE results over the years means that the majority of our Year 11 girls meet the entrance criteria to continue their education in our Sixth Form.
The quality of the A Level results in our Sixth Form allows our girls to go on to the very best Higher Education establishments including Oxbridge, or wherever they choose to go.
We continue to watch their progress as they make their way into the world of work, reaping the benefits of a progressive NGHS education and striding confidently into a future of their choosing. We love welcoming our inspiring alumnae back to school on a regular basis to hear about the exciting things they’re doing to make the most of their words of wisdom and advice for the younger girls. Take a look at an example of the varied range of courses and destinations that our Year 13 leavers have gone on to pursue, and some of the inspiring stories of our alumnae. They go on to pursue some incredible and often surprising careers, smashing stereotypes and confidently making their mark in the world.
We celebrate the diversity of the career choices our girls make and the variety of exciting professions that the future holds. Medicine is often a popular aspiration with our girls, and all STEM subjects feature highly too. But the main thing of which we are proud is the fact that our students know their own minds and follow their hearts to achieve exactly what they set out to do.
